National Club Championships
The U14s and U16s Turnford netball squads were playing at the first round of the Club National Championships. This was the local round held at Stanborough Welwyn Garden City. Both teams went forward to represent Hertfordshire in the East Regional round next March.
The U14s played well beating Abbey Flyers 12:1, Crosskeys 12:9, Hatfield 11:1, Hertford Heath Rangers 12:4, Hertford Hornets 13:4 Watford Premier 12:1 and SAS 16:2. They had a loss to Asco 10:4 but had done enough to go through. The squad :-
Ella Warmerdam, Emily Sabatino, Andriana Robinson, Evie Herrick, Nikki Skinner, Abbi Bromley, Busola Semi-Gureje, Lucy Millbury, Katie Harris, Jasmine Harvey-Stone, Sienna Rushton and Katherine Wingfield.
The U16s. did not lose a game all day and the shooting stats of the players during the course of the tournament was truly excellent. with Georgina Fisher at 100%, Jasmine Bowman 84%, Emily Carrington 87% and player of the tournament Georgia Satwick 75%. The whole squad stayed focused and determined and their scores reflected this beating Abbey Flyers 13:1, Crosskeys 13:9,Hatfield 10:7, Hornets 19:6, SAS 27:1, and drawing with Asco 10:10.
