50 Years of the Herts County league

1967 The Herts league was formed with 6 teams on a home & away bases, Barnet Ladies, Hemel Open, St Albans Open, Stevenage Open, Watford Premier, & Hilltop

​Through the years the league has increased to 6 divisions of 8 maximum playing home & away.
  • 1988 The league celebrated its 21st Anniversary  with a tournament mixing different clubs to make team, with a joker doubling your score for that game.
  • 2004 The Herts league moved to playing at a Central Venue in Welwyn Garden City, Division 1 played indoors on a Saturday with neutral umpires, division 2, 3 & 4 playing outdoors on Sunday morning & Saturday afternoon.
  • 2005 Division 2 moved indoors to play on a Sunday, & divisions 3 & 4 played Sunday morning only
  • 2006  The divisions increased to 10 teams, but reduced to 3 divisions.
  • 2015 January Division 1 & 2 moved to a new indoor Venue & 7 of the 10 team in division 3 moved indoors
  • 2015/16 Season Herts league increased to 4 divisions of 10 teams all playing indoors:

Abbey Flyers NC,  ASCO  NC, Baldock Crusaders NC,  Bishops Stortford NC,  Buntingford NC,  Cosmic NC,  Crosskeys NC, Eagles NC,Elite NC, Equals NC, Flames Inferno NC,Harpenden NC,  Hatfield NC, Hertford Heath Rangers NC, Hertford Hornets NC, Jets NC, Kardale NC, Nomads NC, Omega NC, SAS NC, Sapphires NC,  Turnford NC, Watford Premier NC, Westminster NC, Wormley NC.

The committee is represented by a Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Fixture Secretary, Umpiring Rep, Coaching Rep & Equity & Welfare Officer.

Many Herts League players through the years have played at National, Regional & County level.
